We offer follicle scan in related to fertility research.

The first examination costs 1200 kr including a report and possibly blood samples with the measurements of AMH and the status of your hormons. The first consultation is always done by our specialist doctor Tri Huu Nguyen, in our department in Hvidovre.

The subsequent check-up scans  can be done by our sonographers by booking an appointment in one of our  departments: Hvidovre or Lyngby.

By doing a follicle scan, you will be infromed of the mucosal thickness of your uterus and follicles.

You will receive 2 B/W pictures, and we will by mail, send you all the 2D images, small video clips and possibly also some 3D/4D without sound, a report with a risk calculation with the help of the program Astraia (which is a program that is also used in all the hospitals in Denmark, and the rest of the world for much translucency scan and malformation scan). You are welcome to take your family with you to see the baby on the big screen. It gives a sense of safety, certainty and cohesion.

It is allowed, to record the child’s heartbeat, and to take extra pictures with your cellphones.

The risk calculations can be done if you are internationally certified and have the right software for the calculations. The certificate must be renewed every year, and the clinic is in possession of such a certificate.

We strongly recommend that a double test is done between 9-13 weeks + 6 days of pregnancy. The combination of the double test and the nuchal translucency scan gives a more secure screening result for trisomy 21,18,13.

NB: Remember to make an appointment either by phone or e-mail for a nuchal translucency scan, it cannot be booked over the website, and it is not possible to drop in on this type of scan.

Why chose a private nuchal translucency scan, instead of a free scan from the hospital?

Some choose a private scan because they cannot book an appointment at the hospital that suits them the best.

Many choose us, because they wish for a more personal experience, and wishes to see the fetus in 3D/4D/HD live scan, and they get more out of the scan than just the risk calculations.

The double test is a blood sample where the blood is examined for two different things (PAPP-A and beta-HCG). They are formed in the placenta, and if the fetus has Down syndrome, these two markers will typically deviate from the normal.

The double test sample is not taken at our clinic but at a laboratory

We start the appointment with a scan to determine the term, and afterwards, you will be referred to one of these four laboratories.

The laboratories are primarily open before noon.

We then make an appointment for a nuchal translucency scan, when we know how far ahead you are in your pregnancy.

It is optional to book an appointment for a double test over the phone, there is no drop in and you cannot make an appointment on the website.
